Cronulla captain Paul Gallen has been ruled out of tonight’s clash with Brisbane due to a calf injury, it was thought he was some chance of playing after he travelled to Brisbane with the side but this morning the Sharks have been forced to rule him out, according to the Daily Telegraph, Tyson Frizell will play lock with Taulima Tautai back to the bench. Brisbane should be as per program

In tonight’s other game, the Wests Tigers have been forced to rule Wade McKinnon out due to a rib injury meaning Matt Groat will play with an 18th man yet to be decided on. Manly are as per program.

Tom Symonds will replace the suspended Frank Paul Nuuausala for the Roosters but the full starting side is yet to be decided.

Canterbury say both Jamal Idris and Steve Turner will playing denying speculation that both had been ruled out.

Both North Queensland is expected to be as per program.

Penrith lock Luke Lewis will undergo a final fitness test but from all reports will play against North Queensland

In what could be a major boost for the Canberra Raiders, David Shillington could be set to return from an a pectoral injury. New Zealand Warriors are expected to be as per program

Newcastle have Kurt Gidley, Ryan Stig and Jarrod Mullen in doubt for the clash with the Gold Coast. Mullen is the most doubtful after he aggravated a pec muscle injury. Gidley (hamstring) and Stig (groin) are both likely to play.

Gold Coast should be as per program despite Scott Prince suffering from a virus during the week

St George Illawarra should also be 1 – 17 despite Jamie Soward suffering from the flu and missing training. The Dragons boosted by the return 0f halfback Ben Hornby.

South Sydney should be as named.
